REGARDING kerbside car sales, I cannot understand why Oxfordshire County Council, as the highway authority for the whole of the county, does not apply for a control order under Section 7 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.
This vital piece of legislation covers all roadside sales within 15 metres of any part of the highway.
I hate to appear as a ‘barrack-room lawyer’ but perhaps the county’s spokesman, Marcus Mabberley, could answer my query in the Oxford Mail?
