HEADINGTON Bratz and Oxford Brookes cheerleaders joined forces on Sunday to spur Oxford United to victory against Burton Albion.

The cheerleading teams had worked together to create a new routine and more than 40 people, aged 11 to 28, performed to the 7,000-strong crowd at the Kassam Stadium.

It was the first time Headington Bratz, from Headington School, had performed at the football ground.

Coach Sophie Barton said: “Both teams performed flawless routines in the Oxford sunshine before kick off and at half time.

“All the girls and boys really enjoyed performing to such a large crowd.”
