A MAN was assaulted while walking home in Banbury in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A man barged into the 22-year-old victim, who was then punched repeatedly in the face, police said.
The incident happened at about 3.36am as he was walking home from the town centre along Bridge Street, towards Middleton Road.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with serious bruising to both eyes and possible facial fractures.
