Sir – When Oxfordshire County Council consider the new designs, perhaps they could review traffic flows in Hythe Bridge Street and Park End Street.
Hythe Bridge Street is often severely congested with queues stretching back to Beaumont Street, whilst Park End Street usually carries a very light volume of traffic.
The solution may be to revert to a one-way system for both roads following the removal of the traffic island opposite Nando’s restaurant.
