A FATAL collision between a van and a mobile crane has closed the southbound M40.
At around 8am an Iveco van and a mobile crane crashed on the southbound carriageway between junction six for Watlington and five for Stokenchurch.
Police said the driver of the Iveco van was confirmed dead at the scene.
Both carriageways were fully closed by 8.30am but it is believed the northbound stretch has now been reopened.
The southbound carriageway is likely to stay closed until mid afternoon for investigation and recovery work.
Traffic should divert via the A34 and M4.
