People convicted of offences at Oxford Magistrates' Court recently:

Jelroy Constant, 23, of Nuthatch Close, Oxford, admitted harassment without violence in Aylesbury between January 13 and 17. Given a restraining order and told to pay £100 fine and £15 victims’ surcharge.

Christopher Travis, 51, of no fixed address, admitted breach of an Asbo by entering Loch Fyne restaurant; using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress; and fraud by false representation by dishonestly obtaining a three-course meal and wine from Loch Fyne in Oxford on February 7. Jailed for 12 weeks.

Kalem Edwards, 19, of Falcon Close, Oxford, admitted two breaches of a community order by failing to work as instructed on October 23 and January 15. Original offences of possession of cocaine (Class A) and being carried in a stolen vehicle resentenced. Given a two-month curfew and told to pay £50 costs.

Michael King, 19, of Priory Road, Oxford, admitted breach of a community order by failing to adhere to a curfew on December 21. Original offence of causing harassment, alarm or distress in Oxford on October 9 resentenced. Given an eight-week curfew and told to pay £65 costs.

Thomas Hutchinson, 19, of Abingdon Road, Oxford, admitted breach of a community order by failing to attend unpaid work on January 12. Given an extra 10 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £25 costs.

James Kelly, 51, of Pinnocks Way, Oxford, admitted possession of 113g of cannabis (Class B) in Botley on January 26. Fined £150, £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Karl McCarthy, 32, of Toot Hill Butts, Headington, Oxford, admitted driving without a licence or insurance in Westgate, Oxford, on January 4. Fined £260, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given eight penalty points.

Vaidas Tiauteris, 28, of South Terrace, Littlehampton, West Sussex, admitted shoplifting four bottles of Champagne from Waitrose in Witney on February 8. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Darren Sanders, 43, of Luther Court, Oxford, admitted shoplifting six watches valued at £30 from The Works in Oxford on December 13. Fined £65 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Lee Davis, 28, of Laburnum Road, Oxford, admitted harassment (breach of restraining order) in Oxford on Christmas Eve. Fined £100, £15 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.

Jayson Nutt, 38, of Mickle Way, Oxford, admitted burglary of two mobile phones, earphones and three wallets at Magdalen College School in Oxford on January 12. Jailed for 16 weeks.

Maryann Loughran, 39, of Abingdon Road, Oxford, admitted three counts of assaulting a police constable on September 23. Given a 12-month conditional discharge.

Andrew Reid, 33, of Brunswick Road, Handsworth, Birmingham, admitted two counts of possession of Class A drugs (2.05g of heroin and 6.98g of cocaine) in Oxford on August 8. Given 12 months’ supervision.

Mark Watts, 37, of Drury Lane, Mortimer, Berkshire, admitted being a driver failing to provide a specimen for analysis in Abingdon on November 21. Fined £250, £15 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs. Banned from driving for 18 months.

Jean Green, 56, of Boundary Brook Road, Oxford, admitted theft by employee of £1,340 from the Gladiator Club, Oxford, on October 13. Given a six-week curfew and told to pay £350 compensation.

Lynette McLaughlan, 24, of North Drive, Grove, admitted taking a motor vehicle without consent, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance in Tower Close, Abingdon, on January 14. Jailed for eight weeks “because this was an abuse of trust and refusal to comply with community alternative”. Banned from driving for a year.

Mihai Viteazu, 21, of no fixed address, admitted failing to surrender to police bail in Abingdon on June 7 and fraud by false representation in Wheatley on April 24 by using a fake credit card to buy alcohol, water and toiletries. Jailed for 11 weeks because “it was organised crime, the defendant had a ‘job’ using the cloned card while being driven by an unknown associate”.

Shane Bishop, 26, of Blossoms Glade, Radley, near Abingdon, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend unpaid work on January 12. Given 10 extra hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £50 costs.

Jack Harper, 22, of Springfield Close, Watlington, admitted depositing controlled waste, namely cardboard boxes and bin liners, in land opposite Cowleaze Woods, Christmas Common, on September 1 without an environmental permit. Fined £350, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £300 costs.

James Gilford, 22, of Hurst Street, East Oxford, admitted two counts of assault by beating in Oxford on January 24. Given a two-year conditional discharge and told to pay £200 compensation and £85 costs.

Kevin Ndirangu, 21, of Ridgefield Road, East Oxford, admitted driving without a licence, without insurance and without an MoT on January 25 in Ridgefield Road. Fined £200, £15 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs. Banned from driving for six months.

Khalid Miah, 34, of Willesden Way, Kidlington, convicted of three counts of theft by an employee of three iPhones on July 16, 19 and 21. Also admitted failing to surrender to court bail on January 6. Jailed for 10 weeks, suspended for a year, and given 60 hours’ unpaid work. Told to pay £1,306 in compensation.
