LARGE black clouds made from industrial tyres will loom over visitors to a new art exhibition.
Clouds by Michael Sailstorfer opens at Modern Art Oxford in Pembroke Street on Saturday and runs until May 22.
The artwork in the museum’s new extension – The Yard – is made from inner tubes inflated, twisted and bunched together.
Museum spokesman Kayleigh Hellin said: “Clouds completely transforms the space through use of everyday materials, in this instance inner tyre tubes are suspended from the ceiling to create sculptural interventions.“ Another exhibition, Time Capsule by Roman Ondák, shows the experience of the recently trapped Chilean miners, and runs from Saturday until May 20.
