Sir – How sad that The Oxford Times chooses to focus on the bad news rather than the good — yet again.
The 20mph limit has reduced the accident rate by five per cent as predicted.
It is hard to celebrate accidents not happening — but we should. My experience is that although not all cars drive within the limit, there is less pressure to drive as fast as in the past. So driving in Oxford has become less stressful. To have achieved this purely by putting up signs is wonderful.
