FIRE ripped through a house in Kidlington this morning.

Neighbours dialled 999 after spotting flames coming from the home in White Way just after 7.30am.

Four fire engines and an ambulance were sent to the scene.

A man and a woman were treated for smoke inhalation but were not believed to have been more seriously injured.

The Red Cross Fire Support Unit also attended the blaze, which damaged both the ground and first floor.

A spokesman for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue said worried neighbours called 999 after spotting the flames.
