Police today released a CCTV image of a man wanted in connection with the theft of a statue in Woodstock.
Officers would like to speak to the man shown in the CCTV in relation to the theft of the bronze statue from the Iona House Gallery, in High Street, on December 23 2010.
A police spokesman said: "A member of staff was serving another customer when the man shown here entered. The member of staff then noticed that the bronze statue pictured was missing and that the man had left the store."
The bronze statue of the horse is valued at just under £3,000.
PC Beth Potter said: “I would like to speak to anyone who recognises or knows this man, or knows of his whereabouts.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who has seen this statue. This was a brazen theft from the gallery and we are keen to trace the person responsible.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Potter via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
