am writing with reference to your “Most wanted” story (Oxford Mail, February 18).

The public and crime charity Crimestoppers are reaping the success after setting up the Most Wanted website in August 2010.

Since setting up the website, 104 appeals have been posted and there have been 37 arrests.

I personally find this article reassuring and am happy to see that steps are being taken to tackle crime throughout Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

This website featuring criminal suspects in the Thames Valley is a brilliant start in reducing the amount of criminals on the run.

It is also a quick and easy way of posting criminals’ whereabouts.

I think the website shows that the community is coming together and supporting this idea in order to reduce the amount of thugs let loose.

This in turn should make people feel safer in the areas they live, and give criminals the punishment they deserve for the crimes committed.
