County Council leader Keith Mitchell (Oxford Mail, February 25) ignores my question about the council using our money to employ helpers for the main political parties.
Instead, he asks who I would really like to run the council. The answer is simple: councillors who can administer Oxfordshire efficiently without squandering our money on such wasteful things as futile traffic schemes, overpaid managers and perks for councillors.
It would also be nice to have a council leader who could treat his constituents with good manners.
Mr Mitchell has recently insulted healthcare professional Dr Diana Sanders and two famous local authors: Philip Pullman and Colin Dexter.
Mr Mitchell’s childish behaviour suggests that he is unfit to be a councillor, let alone to lead a council.
