A car fire this afternoon caused delays for drivers on the M40 in Oxfordshire.
The fire happened on the northbound carriageway between junction 8A at Wheatley and junction nine at Wendlebury.
Two lanes were blocked for a time leading to queueing traffic.
Traffic queues also built up on the southbound carriageway as drivers slowed down to look at the scene.
Slow traffic was also reported on the A34 northbound between the Peartree Interchange and the B4027 Islip turn.
