Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Didcot.

The 26-year-old man was walking to his home from Didcot Parkway Station in Station Road when the incident happened.

As he walked along Hitchcock Way he was attacked by a group of men, who punched and kicked the man about the face and body.

Two men, aged 22 and 18, and a 17-year-old boy were arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and have been bailed to appear back at Abingdon police station on March 23.

The incident happened shortly before 1am on February 17 but details were only released today.

PC Emma Dobie said: “I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area who saw the incident and can help us with our investigation.

“The incident happened close to the junction of Cow Lane and Station Road, and there would have been a lot of people in the vicinity leaving Didcot Parkway Station.”
