Two men have been arrested on suspicion of possession of class-B drugs with intent to supply, dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident after an incident in Oxford.
The men, aged 25 and 23, were arrested after an incident in Wellington Square, in which the two men, who were driving a silver VW Polo, allegedly failed to stop for officers at 5.35pm on Friday.
The men then allegedly made off at high speed from Wellington Square, before being involved in a collision with another vehicle in St John Street.
A quantity of what is believed to be cannabis was recovered by officers at the scene of the incident.
Two men were arrested shortly afterwards in Nelson Street and are on bail until March 26.
Det Con Justin Walsh said: “I would like to speak to anyone who was in the Wellington Square and St John’s Street area at this time on Friday who may have seen or heard anything.
“I would particularly like to speak to a woman who witnesses say was forced to jump from her bike to avoid being hit by the car.”
