ONE of the attractions at the village fete in 1980 was a pillow fight. Michelle McCaan is seen in the first picture trying to get the better of her brother, Vincent.
Staff at the Bat and Ball pub dressed a huge teddy bear in a butcher’s outfit to highlight the new menu in 1969. But Khyber, the Afghan hound, in the second picture, didn’t seem too impressed when Oxford Mail photographer Johnny Johnson called – not a decent bone in sight!
Cuddesdon Mill was due to be modernised in 1956 and the third picture shows Mr and Mrs N Buckland removing some of the old machinery.
