THE first salvo in the battle of the festivals was fired yesterday.
Hugh Phillimore’s reborn Cornbury Festival at Great Tew boats a star-studded line-up.
Poshstock will now run for three days with big names including The Faces, the Quo and, er, James Blunt.
Enough to keep the good folk of West Oxfordshire rocking with their Pimm’s and lemonade.
We wait for baited breath for the response from Wilderness, the promised festival which will replace it at Cornbury Park, and which got the go-ahead from councillors yesterday.
