A knife-wielding robber snatched cash in an armed robbery on a Headington betting shop.
At about 9.55pm yesterday, a man wearing a motorbike helmet walked into Ladbrokes, London Road, and threatened a member of staff with a knife.
The offender then ordered a member of staff to put cash into a bag he was carrying before making off.
PC Charlie Ellis said: “Thankfully, nobody was injured during the incident. I appeal to anyone who was in Headington last night and saw a man wearing a motorbike helmet acting suspiciously to contact police immediately.”
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact PC Ellis via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name, contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
