SPEAKING of making pronouncements for some good PR, Oxford City Council will be red-faced after we discovered it hadn’t used a CCTV camera for a year, despite making a big fuss at its launch.
“Technical issues” were blamed, but these seemingly didn’t stop other councils using CCTV to hunt fly-tippers.
It’s that type of attitude that £15,000 can be spent and not used that sees people so distrusting of public service.
