A man was killed when he was hit by a train near Kidlington.
Police and officers from the British Transport Police were called to the railway line at Sandy Lane, near Kidlington, at 1.44pm yesterday.
Paramedics declared a 36-year-old local man dead at the scene. He has not yet been named.
British Transport Police spokesman Jenny Dickens said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
She said: “Officers will now be working to establish the identity of the deceased, inform relatives and prepare a file for the coroner.”
The train involved was a Bournemouth to Manchester Piccadilly service.
