Two lorries crashed on the A34 this morning, spilling grain across the carriageway and causing long delays for commuters.
Police were called to the incident at 6.09am on the southbound carriageway between the A4185 Chilton Interchange and the M4 Junction 13 at Chieveley.
Between two and three tonnes of grain was spilt from one of the lorries. The other was carrying frozen bread.
The Highways Agency closed the road from 9.30am to clear up the spillage. It is expected to re-open around lunchtime.
