A man has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder in Blackbird Leys, police said last night.
Rohan Crooks walked into a police station in Islington, London, on Tuesday morning and was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Detectives have wanted to speak to him in connection with the incident for more than two years.
Crooks was brought back to Oxford where he was last night still being quizzed by detectives.
Crooks, now 33, was wanted following a hit-and-run in Cuddesdon Way, Blackbird Leys, on October 9, 2008.
The incident left a cyclist fighting for his life.
The rider was hit by a green Lexus and dragged under the car for about 40ft to the junction of Blackbird Leys Road and Cuddesdon Way.
The victim survived, but remained in hospital for a month.
