Sir – I am writing with reference to your article County Schools now in top third, (January 3). While you rightly praise the achievements of secondary schools which offer the A level, you fail to mention that the most successful secondary school in Oxfordshire [as measured by average points per student] is St Clare’s, Oxford.
St Clare’s is an international sixth-form college which specialises in the International Baccalaureate Diploma and has been doing so longer than any other school or college in England.
