A DISABLED man has been robbed of his only means of transport for the second time in six months.

Daniel Conder, 55, had his £140 bike stolen from the communal area of his Lains Court flat, Wolage Drive, Wantage, for the second time.

Cycling is his only way of getting around painlessly after snapping a ligament in his ankle 10 years ago.

He said of the January 22 theft: “I was very upset, annoyed and distraught.

“I am now stranded – I just cannot get around. I have not been able to see any of my friends.

“It is a real pain.”

People have to be buzzed through a front door to get access to the communal area.

Daughter Lucy Conder, 22, of St Gabriels, Wantage, said: “Whoever did has no concerns for anyone but themselves.”

Thames Valley Police spokesman Victoria Brandon said: “We have spoken to the aggrieved and given him some crime prevention advice. We have also distributed leaflets to all neighbours in the block to tell them about crime prevention.”

Anyone with information should call police on 08458 50505.
