A 32-year-old man who suffered serious head injuries following an assault in Cowley Road was recovering in hospital yesterday.
Officers were called at 2.50am on Sunday after reports of an assault outside the Regal nightclub. The victim was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where his condition was said to be stable.
A 31-year-old man arrested in connection with the assault has been bailed until March 14. Anyone with any information should contact Dc Karl Ralph on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
