HUNDREDS of local footballers will be delighted to read Oxford City Council’s vow to ensure they will be able to complete their season.
Amateur leagues feared games put off because of the foul winter weather would not be played because the council was closing its pitches on April 20 in preparation for the summer.
Finally, yesterday, the council was able to give its unequivocal guarantee that it would find a way to ensure every game would be staged.
Well played.
