OXFORDSHIRE County Council Leader Keith Mitchell says we depend on clever and entrepreneurial men and women to drive our economy (Oxford Mail, January 18).
Does this include the clever and entrepreneurial bankers who very nearly drove our economy to destruction? The bankers who would have destroyed our economy had they not been bailed out by the Labour Government?
The bankers who, despite having done so much to cause the recession, still refuse to provide industry with the investment it needs to recover from recession?
The bankers who, having given us so little in return for so much, still expect to be rewarded with multi-million pound bonuses?
Are these the wealthy people Keith Mitchell is afraid to tax, for fear they would leave the country? If only they would leave the country! We would be better off without them!
