LIFE is increasingly empty of real characters and so we sadly say farewell to Dyk Brooker.
Wearing his straw hat covered in flowers and carrying his melodeon, he was a well-known presence busking in the city centre.
His friend Gilly Robinson says he was a man determined to live his own life his own way. What a pity that is now at an end and that one more of the true characters of our city is no longer with us.
