FUNDRAISERS from charity Against Breast Cancer used Oxford United’s vandalised statue of an ox to hold a collection at last night’s home game at the Kassam Stadium against Shrewsbury Town.
Fundraisers, pictured, joined club chairman Kelvin Thomas and mascot Olly the Ox, by the statue, which was plastered with pink paint on Saturday night.
The collection raised £646.65.
ABC spokesman Fiona Smart, said: “We hoped angry fans would at least feel the outcome was not all bad.”
Fathers4Justice called the Mail to claim responsibility for the vandalism, but police said they had been ruled out.
