Foals
OXFORD band Foals, who live in Jericho, are in the frame for a clutch of the most important awards in rock music.
The five-piece, above, have been nominated for five categories in the Shockwaves NME Awards.
The band, fronted by guitarist Yannis Philippakis, are in the running in the Best Band, Best Live Band, Best Album (for Total Live Forever), Best Track (for Spanish Sahara), and Best Album Artwork categories.
They are up against the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Biffy Clyro, Kasabian and Muse.
The awards are considered the most respected in the industry.
The results will be announced on February 23.
