A singer whose mother died of breast cancer has recorded an album to raise money for charity in her memory.
Lynne Winter, of Masefield Crescent, Abingdon, is raising the money for Breast Cancer Care after Anne Hammond, 86, died last year.
The Abingdon Operatic Society member, right, said: “It is a shame she could not have heard it because she had always been so supportive of my singing.
“She really liked to hear me sing.
“She used to pay for my singing lessons.
“I decided I would like to do something for charity so I thought I would do something with my voice.”
The CD, priced at £7, includes favourites such as Ave Maria and I Could Have Danced All Night. It was recorded with piano backing by fellow society member Ian Miles.
