A CITY centre bar “exploded into mayhem” as two students were attacked with a bottle, a court heard.
A group of about 30 students dressed as golfers were in Que Pasa, New Road, when the alleged attack happened.
Kreshnik Pali, 19, of Borrowmead Road, Northway, Oxford, denies unlawfully wounding students Charles Noble-Mundin and Daniel Pitchford.
Matthew Walsh, prosecuting at Oxford Crown Court yesterday, said: “The prosecution say this defendant in that bar struck two men with a glass implement, probably a bottle, to their heads, and both of them suffered nasty cuts.”
Jurors heard the students had been ejected from nearby Maxwell’s over allegations they had damaged a toilet before making their way to Que Pasa on the night of November 9, 2009.
Que Pasa licensee Liam Martin told the jury: “The bar exploded into mayhem.”
The trial continues.
