After a gap of 2 months, Saints returned to action with a home game against Crowmarsh. From the whistle, it was clear that Saints were glad to be playing again. They launched wave after wave of attacks, pressing and harrying Crowmarsh with great determination, whilst also playing some great passing football. Lamide Adewuyi was giving a great exhibition of wing play with his trickery and crosses on the right hand side.

The only question is whether the pressure would pay off, but that was answered very soon by Rowan Alexander, as he received the ball in the box from wide and with one touch swept the ball in confidently. Saints continued to dominate proceedings and looked very composed defensively, offering little to the Crowmarsh strikers.

Soon, a second goal arrived, as Arthur Galley was sharp to follow in a shot and finish with an easy tap-in. He then picked up another to make it 3-0 and Saints looked home and dry. However, Crowmarsh were handed a lifeline just before half-time, when a penalty was awarded for a handball. But the penalty went straight down the middle and George Richards saved comfortably.

The second half began much the same as the first and after around 10 minutes, the game was effectively finished as Cameron Homer picked up the ball on the edge of the area and slotted the ball beautifully into the bottom corner to make the final score 4-0.

Well done to all the boys and a great start to 2011 for Saints.
