SO HM Revenue and Customs has done it again. One million people have either paid too much tax or not enough.
This is not down to the tax payer. We are given tax codes and employers take out the tax.
Everyone believes their tax code is correct, which it should be, and I don’t think it’s right that HMRC is allowed to treat people this way.
It messed up and people shouldn’t have to pay this money to put this mess right.
It should accept the problem is caused by itself, wipe the slate clean and get it right next time. P HOWARD Brome Place Barton Oxford
