PROFITS from Launton Players’ pantomime, Aladdin, in 1990 were given to Bicester Community Hospital and local schools. Chairman Bob Roberts is seen handing a £60 cheque to nurse Alison Billett. Schools benefited because they had given props for the production.

The village organised a Wheels Day in 1984 and the winners of the best decorated wheelbarrow competition were Josie Bradshaw, left, and Claire Moorton, seen in the second picture.

Children at the village primary school took part in a sponsored skipping marathon in 1990, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. The following day, the pupils demonstrated their skipping skills to parents and visitors, who attended the school’s annual plant sale, seen in the third picture.
