Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Chestnut Road, Elms Rise, Oxford.
A 26-year-old man returned home to his address last night to find that he had been burgled.
Police said sometime between 11.30am and 6.30pm, thieves entered the house, possibly via the garage and stole several hundred pounds worth of property including a black Acer laptop, jewellery, digital camera, and cash.
PC Paul Reece, of the Vale of White Horse Priority Crime Team, said: “At this stage, we do not know exactly how the burglars got into the house and are appealing for witnesses who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time.
“I also want people to be on the look out for a sky-blue coloured rucksack, which contained snowboarding gloves and trousers that was also stolen.”
If you have any information that may help investigations, then please contact PC Paul Reece via the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police or give your name, please call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111
