FLOODING caused some disruption to traffic overnight.

The A329 around Thame, near junction 7 of the M40, was closed off, due to flooding from the nearby River Thame.

It was opened again early this morning.

A spokesman from the Environment Agency said a number of rivers were still on flood alert, but they were not expecting any damage to properties.

The River Ock through the Vale of White Horse to Abingdon and the Letcombe Brook in Wantage, Grove and East Hanney remains on flood alert.

The river level has now reached its banks, while the River Thame, River Ray and the Thames are also still being monitored.
