  • Daniel Butterworth, 43, of White Hart Close, Benson, admitted drink driving in Shillingford Hill, Shillingford, on August 20. Namely having 52 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £1,000, £600 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge. Banned from driving for 40 months.
  • Thomas Coles, 26, of Church Road, Radley, admitted drink driving in Drayton Road, Abingdon, on October 21. Namely having 90 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mg. Given a four-month curfew, banned from driving for three years and told to pay £85 costs.
  • Paul Miles, 24, of Main Street, East Hanney, admitted drink driving in Summertown, East Hanney, on October 24. Namely having 82 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 20 months.
  • Joshua Bedford, 22, of Longfields, Marcham, admitted criminally damaging a car window in Marcham on August 15. Given 72 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £225 compensation and £450 costs.
  • Ace McCloud, 44, of no fixed abode, admitted theft of a Samsung mobile phone and possession of an offensive weapon, namely a screw driver, in Abingdon on June 25. Given a six-month conditional discharge.
  • Gary Oates, 23, of Shadwell Road, Berinsfield, admitted possession of four small bags of cannabis (Class B) in Didcot on October 22. Fined £330, £85 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • Mark Robinson, 63, of Aldbourne, Marlborough, Wilts, admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance on the A417 in Wantage on October 25. Fined £450, £85 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge. Banned from driving for three months.
  • William McCaffery, 48, of Craven Way, Didcot, convicted of assault by beating in Didcot on June 20. Given 12 months’ supervision with a requirement to take part in a community domestic violence programme. Also told to pay £400 costs.
  • Dean McGirr, 21, of Roding Way, Didcot, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend unpaid work on September 20. Given an extra 8.5 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £50 costs.
  • David O’Brien, 53, of Besselsleigh Road, Wootton, convicted of failing to identify a driver required by the Vale of White Horse District Council in respect of a parking issue between March 27 and June 23 in Abingdon. Fined £110, £80 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • Liam Barker, 25, of Coleshill, Swindon, admitted possession of diamorphine (Class A) in Faringdon on October 29. Fined £165, £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Jennifer Pugh, 23, of Catkins Close, Faringdon, admitted shoplifting cosmetics valued at £102.44 from Superdrug in Oxford on September 28; household goods valued at £49 from Next in Oxford on the same day; two bottles of carbonated drinks valued at £1.99 from Sainsbury’s in Oxford on October 20; deck shoes valued at £5 from Primark in Oxford on October 23; and failing to comply with the requirements of a community order on October 29 and November 5. Jailed for four weeks.
  • Danny Barron, 38, of Vintner Road, Abingdon, admitted fraud by false representation, by pretending to be Anthony Cheswick to cash a giro worth £130.90 in Abingdon on September 11. Given a six-month drug-rehabilitation requirement and told to pay £50 costs and £130.90 compensation.
  • Ashley Sim, 21, of Bowness Avenue, Didcot, admitted possession of 20.7g of cannabis (Class B) with intent to supply in Didcot on September 7. Given 180 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £85 costs.
  • Shane Murphy, 24, of Hogarth Place, Abingdon, admitted common assault in Harwell on November 1; criminal damage to a fence on the same day; commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge and shoplifting 20 Stella beers from Waitrose in Abingdon on February 26.
