A 37-year-old woman is in hospital with serious head injuries after a two car crash on the A415 at Frilford, near Abingdon.

She was driving a dark blue Ford Fiesta from Kingston Bagpuize towards Frilford when it was in collision with a blue Peugeot 407 near the Millets Farm visitor attraction at about 3.45pm on Saturday.

She was cut free from the car by firefighters and taken by ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital.

The air ambulance was called but not needed.

Police said she is in a serious but stable condition.

A 44 year-old-man, who was driving the Peugeot, suffered a minor neck injury.

The road was closed for several hours for forensic investigation.
