CORONATION Street actress Helen Flanagan, who plays Rosie Webster in the soap opera, has been forced to pull out of switching on Banbury’s Christmas lights due to her filming commitments.
Instead, colleague Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz, will press the button to light up the town on Sunday, November 28.
Last night, Commonwealth Games disabled weightlifter Daniel Steward, of Arncott, near Bicester, switched on the town’s lights alongside mayor Richard Mould.
