Sir – I note that councillor Tanner regards the Ardley incinerator as a “blot on the landscape” (Letters, October 28) because its chimney will be 270 feet high, but is on the record as supporting wind turbines that tower over 400 feet into the air. I can’t help sensing some hypocrisy here.
