Right Employment is an Oxfordshire charity that helps adults with a learning disability to find paid employment and supports them in the workplace.

The charity was established in 1999 and has found more than 420 jobs for people in the county who have a learning disability.

Paid employment really does change their service users’ lives, they gain so much confidence and independence and become valued members of their team. Their parents or carers are also very proud of their achievements.

The charity is unique in that they provide a service to people who do not have access to a service from the county council and they provide one-to-one ongoing support to their service users within their workplace to help them learn their job.

To celebrate this and to raise awareness there is a special ‘Music and Readings for Advent’ Concert for Right Employment at St Barnabas Church in Jericho, Oxford, on Sunday, November 28, at 6.30pm.

The concert will be introduced by their new patron, Morse creator author Colin Dexter.

Sacred and secular seasonal choral music will be sung by the Choir of St Barnabas Church, conducted by Dan Chambers. Tickets include interval refreshments, £10 each, £30 family (four tickets).
