Police are appealing for information after an attempted burglary at a house in Watlington.

Between October 23 and Sunday, burglars tried to force their way into the property in Church Street through windows at the front of the property, but were unable to gain access.

Nothing was stolen, but damage was caused to the window.

PC Emma McGrath from the South Oxfordshire Priority Crime Team said: “I would like to hear from anyone who lives in the area who might have seen or heard anything suspicious.

“I would also ask people to be vigilant to this sort of crime and ensure that their homes are as secure as possible and if you are ever unsure of anything then never hesitate to contact us on the 24-hour non-emergency number 0845 8 505 505. If you see a crime in progress call 999.”

Anyone with information should contact PC McGrath via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
