Police are appealing for witnesses after a racially aggravated incident in Banbury.

At about 5.30pm on Tuesday, a 36-year-old woman was filling her car with petrol on the forecourt of the Morrison’s petrol station in Swan Close Road.

As the woman filled her car, another vehicle pulled onto the forecourt and its occupant shouted racial abuse at the woman and another occupant of her car.

PC Lou Heffernan said: “I would like to speak with anyone who was at the petrol station at the time this incident occurred who may have seen what happened and is able to provide more information.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Heffernan via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
