YOUNGSTERS had a blast at school when staff laid on a day of rocket-themed events.
Pupils at Cranford House school, in Moulsford, near Wallingford, have now established a rocket club so they can have fun while finding out more about the science and technology powering the machines. Pupils made model rockets out of paper and cards and dressed as aliens.
Teacher Gillian Smeeton said: “Pupils at the school were looking forward to this for quite a while — they have been very excited about it.”
Youngsters also enjoyed a visit from the space company Starchaser UK which is touring 100 schools across the country with one of its rockets.
