A NEW children’s play centre featuring a climbing frame and a coffee shop has opened in Didcot.
Local businessman Mike Foster has invested about £100,000 to convert a former bed shop off Broadway into the Tree House play centre.
Mr Foster said after the centre opened on Saturday: “We think the facility will be very well used.
“Children can come here for birthday parties and mums can have a coffee while their children are on the climbing frame.
“Didcot hasn’t had anything like this up until now and we think this is a very good use of the space.”
Chloe Hodgson, nine, and three-year-old Cameron Howes from Didcot, won a competition for naming the centre.
Cameron’s mum Louise Howes, 29, of Penpont Water, said: “Cameron got a year’s free membership.
“It’s a great centre and something Didcot really needed. Lots of families with young children will really appreciate it.” Picture: Andrew Walmsley
