Garsington Youth took all three points in this bottom of the table clash thanks to a double strike from midfield maestro Joe Watson and a combination of poor finishing from the visitors and solid defensive displays from the home team. The early exchanges saw a series of last-ditch tackles from defensive stalwart Jayden Bennett who marshalled the Garsington defence well and ensured that visitors Marston were unable to capitalise on their chances.

Ten minutes in, Joe Watson was awarded a free kick on the edge of the Marston box after a mis-timed tackle sent him sprawling. Taking the kick himself, Watson thundered his shot into the bottom left hand corner leaving the goalkeeper stranded. Five minutes later and on the stroke of half time, Watson grabbed his second. Riding another reckless Saints challenge, he cut inside his man and struck the ball sweetly to the 'keepers left to net his fourth goal in three games.

However, if Garsington thought the game was sewn up they were very much mistaken. Marston led a sprited fightback in the second half which saw them come close on a number of occassions. Garsington rode their luck to maintain their lead while Saints were guilty of squandering a host of gilt-edged opportunites which should really have seen them grab at least a point. That said, Garsington were unlucky not to extend their lead when Watson and striker Alec Cooke combined late on, the former deliverering a telling pass from the right wing which Cooke was just inches away from converting.

Despite further pressure from Marston including a goal-line clearance by Garsington 'keeper Casey Hancock, at full time it was the home team who were celebrating a result which sees them climb one place further up the Blue league table.
