TWO poorly tots have been given thousands of pounds for specialist equipment by Oxfordshire’s most notoriously dressed fundraisers.
Didcot’s Thong Rangers, famous for performing heroic feats of strength dressed in the skimpiest of underwear, have given £2,550 each to the parents of the youngsters.
Logan Goodall, two, has autism and seven-month-old Kayleigh Finnemore has Aicardi Syndrome, which causes fits. Both need constant care and specialist support.
The Thong Rangers held a fundraising fun day on August Bank Holiday, though they abandoned the thongs.
Logan’s parents will buy specialist toys to help him learn to speak while Kayleigh will be bought a sensory mat that will trigger an alarm if she stops breathing during the night.
Kayleigh’s dad Patrick Finnemore, 18, of Kynaston Road, Didcot, said: “Being given this money is a big relief.”
Logan’s mum Miriam Sear, 26, of Goldsmith’s Terrace, Wallingford, said: “What the Thong Rangers have done is absolutely amazing.”
