I WRITE in response to the letter by George Massingham about crowd trouble at the Kassam Stadium (Oxford Mail, October 14).
I think that Oxford United fans are not used to the ‘big time’ and get excited, then frustrated, because United keep losing games at home – with manager Chris Wilder continuing to make excuses as to why they lose.
As a group known as Eynsham Royals, we travel to matches home and away.
I support Reading and have done for years, at our home games there are about 18-20,000 people, and no problems.
We have proper football at a proper stadium.
We win games, that’s it.
J MASON, Botley, Oxford
