WHY is councillor Susanna Pressel complaining about the noise from Oxford Railway Station (Saturday’s Oxford Mail).

Can we remind her that the railway was there long before any of the houses were built in the area.

Those houses shouldn’t have never been built in the area so close to the railway.

Councillor Pressel should be using the railway, not knocking it for its noise.

We lived in Wolvercote in our childhood and we had several coal trains running through everyday, causing everything to rattle in the house. But we just got used to the trains.

If you are living near a railway, expect noise.

Otherwise move.
